I love the Japanese gravure idol Yoko Matsugane so much I make a kind of vector drawing two or three years ago in a 55X35cm Aprox. With crayons; in such dimensions I could not scan it the old fashion way, up in to now.
I ask my sister to take a digital picture with her cell phone; It was kind of funny because I told her I wanted to take a picture of an Chinese girl I make (I know Yoko is Japanese but for her all Orientals are Chinese) She looked at me with a sever look after seeing it, call me a pervert and say she must suffer from back pain (how sweeat of her); I respond to her “So that’s why you chopped off your boobs” In my mind because didn’t want to enter in a argument; (she pass for a boob reduction operation, that was very traumatic, for me!) anyway, she tell me that she thought I make a religious draw of the “Chinita” who is the "patrona del Zulia" a virgin of the catholic church like Maria (I don’t know how to explained it better; sorry) , then I new why she reacted that way I LOL!. After she takes the shot y clean it and then make a true vector drawing; ta da!
To make it clear my intension was not to make a exact representation of Matsugane because her pictures are enough to show her true beauty; It was more an icon of the busty gravure idols which I all so like; models like Rin Aoki, Miyabi Isshiki and Fuko are represented in this drawing as well; of course with Yoko as the most influential because I use one of her photos as reference with all my respect and appreciation for her incredible body.
Crayon draw time taken: can’t remember! …two weeks?
Vector drawing time taken: two hours none stop; I was amassed for the quick it was!

………

Gracias! :)

Very "high art" in style. Wonderful use of pink and purple shades, too. I like it. :)

This is quite lovely!

The colors wasn’t on propose I only have a lot or purple and pink by the time I make the original drawing with crayons, my technique is squash the pencil over the paper to create this shiny waxy surface and then finish it with markers to sort of agglutinate the shin; the down side of this tech is the crayons deplete very quick and you got to have lots of strength on your fingers to stand the pain for a wile. I can’t do it now because I am out of shape, got to make lots of push up with the fingers in order to train them. Glad you like it!
